Use of information, data protection and web privacy

The Children’s Palliative Care Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) cares about the privacy of website visitors and considers its protection to be very important, but at the same time reminds that the security of information transmitted via the web can never be fully guaranteed.

The Association may use this information to obtain feedback and improve the content of the website, respond to requests/questions from a specific person, as well as use it for internal purposes. Website users are informed separately about all other purposes for which information is used. In cases where the user agrees to this and the Association wishes, it may provide useful information about various news of the Association (services, achievements), as well as ask for the opinion of the visitors of the page about them.

Users of the Site, by entrusting personally identifiable information, should take into account that they are effectively giving their consent to its use for the above-mentioned purposes, as well as giving permission for the Society to use and store this information.

Non-personally identifiable information

The Society also accumulates a set of non-personally identifiable information, such as the total number of visitors to the website, the number of visitors to specific sections of the website, the domain names of visitors’ Internet service providers. The Society uses this set of data to understand the habits of website visitors, and therefore – to improve this website and the services of the organization. The Society may transfer this information to its cooperation partners – no personally identifiable information is disclosed in this process.

Use of IP addresses

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a set of numbers that is automatically assigned to a computer every time its user connects to their Internet service provider. The same function can also be performed by internal or external networks of organizations. While online, web servers automatically identify the user’s computer by this IP address.

The Society may collect these addresses for system administration and website audit purposes. The Society does not aim to add the user’s IP address to his or her personally identifiable information, which means that each user session is registered, but the user himself or herself remains anonymous to us. Although, of course, the Society may use these IP addresses to identify website visitors in situations where it deems it necessary to ensure that their behavior complies with the terms of use of the website or to protect the Society’s services, the website or other visitors.
